Havoc A-20G
Kit contents, Started this as a kid when my dad bought it for me never got as far as glueing wings together and painting the odd part, since then been sat in the box on a shelf for thirty years so thought it was about time i made it.
Mostly together some metal soldier heads to give some weight to the nose.
Bit of blue tak or in this case it is white, to hold those heads in place.
wasnt happy with these parts so made some new ones from plastic card
new ones in place and a little filler around nose.
the torque scissor link was just huge triangle so cut away and made a new one
torque scissor link replaced using plastic rod
to hide the gaps and hole in the front under carriage some more plastic card was used
Engines were a bit to bulky so started by rounding off the reduction gearbox
then added some more plastic rod and card for a bit more detail
Engine on the left is finished just the right one to do
sits well with the weighted nose
bit of filler to hide some gaps
some more plastic card to help hold gear doors on
Gear doors in place
top and bottom coat done time for some finer detailing before matt varnish and decals
Engines, props and cowlings ready for fitting
bit more colour added
was surprised the decals were ok considering the age of the kit
nearly there not long now
Well there it is, all finished, enjoyed this kit considering its age.

Looks like it's coming along well Konrad. It's the first time I've seen severed heads used as a nose weight – won't the soldiers miss them?

The heads were my dads he has quite a lot of them as he makes one of a kind model soldiers and was kind enough to let me "borrow" a few and i didn't have anything else that i could use at the time, hoping to have this finished in the next couple of weeks, not much to be done but only finding half hour here an an hour there.
