Thank you. I agree. Glad I did it, thought to just use the parts for experimenting

Yes, I use Humbrol enamels mostly. I have been thinking about swichting to acrylics.

I used the revell enamels ages ago. Then i switched to acrylics and i don´t regret it. Easier to clean up brushes, thinner paint layers on the models. However i recently discovered a youtube channel by some guy, that only uses humbrol and brushes and his kits look really great. So maybe i just didn´t handle enamels the right way?

Maybe? I don't know. But they say enamels are good for avoiding brushstrokes. And correcting mistakes, you can "easily" strip layers with thinners. For my Eduard FW I cleaned the whole plane down to the plastic to paint and prime it a second time. I'm sure there are ways to do this with acrylics also (?). You have a good point when it comes to cleaning, and drying time. Maybe I need to experiment more with acrylics? 🙂

I never managed to use enamels in a way that the panel lines and finer details could be seen. On your fw and this youtube channel they can be seen. So probably it´s me, who should have given enamels a chance. I decided to go for a cheap airbrush and acrylics instead. 🙂
