BCATP Fleet Finch
It's a resin 1:72 scale prop, but it sure looks like wood! Only 32mm long!
This is a real wooden airscrew.
With the newly finished airscrew on it, my Finch now needs some rigging.
I also have to add some small details to the wings...
...and to the engine. It is interesting to note that Planet Models cast the cylinders backwards on the engine. The rocker box bumps which face forward should face to the rear.
Today I started rigging my 1:72 Fleet Finch. I used PRYM elastic thread.
The double wires between the wing struts were quite a challenge. This is a tiny model!
Still have more to add, but it's looking better every day.
It would have been easier to rig if I had done it during the build!
Added a scratchbuilt air filter assembly between the lower cylinders.
Fuel filler cap on the top wing.
Cabin vent and oil filler cap on the fuselage behind the cowling. Also rudder ciontrol horn and cables.
Steering cables for the tailwheel are made from stretched sprue.
Lifting handles on the top wing were made with stretched sprue that was wound around a small drill bit.

I have started putting some rigging wires on the Finch that I built long ago. Added some photos today which I took with my new Samsung Galaxy phone. It takes a pretty good picture!

That is a great looking Finch, Norm.! Famtastic job on rigging, especially after the aircarft is finished...

Thanks Gordon. Now I have an Azur injected kit to build. I think it's better than the Planet resin kit.

Album info
This is the resin Planet Models kit of the Fleet 16B Finch. It has a few accuracy issues that I didn't catch when I put it together. But it turned out OK. I have three of the Azur injected kits, so I'll do one of them sometime.
