F-4B "VF-51 Screaming Eagles"
Unfortunatly I miss understood the instructions when putting on the eagle & feathers and they ended up to high on the fuselage.
New decals from Furball have been ordered and will replace the eagle & feathers already on the aircraft.
Argh, what a horrible mess, easily fixed though.
Micro Sol likes to leave stains on if left to long.

Spanjaardnice job. i thought about getting those pilots for one of my F-4J, but did not at the end... maybe I should have done it.

Michael HickeyThank You fella's, the pilots I actually molded and cast them myself because I plan on putting them in a couple more Phantom's that I've got. Lode the helmet stripes are very fine decals from the spares box and when you look at the helmets in real life I also painted the eagle emblem on each rear side just by doing little squiggles. But I'm glad you like them it puts a smile on my dial, she's all glossed up now so decals will start tomorrow and will probably take a couple of days.

Michael HickeyThe last 3 images show the F-4 now that the offending decals have been removed. I'll wait till the decal sheet turns up from Furball Aero-Design before going any further with her, to depressing thinking I could have had her all finished this time next week. The HAF Phantom is just about ready for decals so I will now turn my attention back to her.

Launching of the USS Coral Sea on 5-6-1972 VF-51 & VF-111 a four aircraft fighter package to support a bombing raid on Bai Thuong Airfield. This particular aircraft scored a Mig-17 kill while the Mig was on the tail of an A-6.
