Hello, mates! Started a new small project - excellent MC.72 from SBS Model! The details are extremely beautiful and have great quality. It will be my first full-resin kit build.

Hello, mates! Some new progress photos were added. I must saym that model coming together is real nice, though I ve had some problems with vertical tail fins attachment, mostly due to my inexperience with resin models.

bobinspokaloo, the main tip is to always, always dry-fit your parts. The resin is stiff and brittle, and most of the parts can't be bent to achieve proper alighnment, as with the plastic models. Also, if your part is warped, you can easily bend it to the right shape with the hot water - just put the part in hot water for a couple of minutes and then fast, but accurately bend it to the right shape. Also, when cleaning up or sanding the parts, use the facemask - the resin is mostly very toxic, though it isn't as obvious as with the pain thinners or so due to the not so evident odour.
Also, it's recomended to use metal tubes tubes to strengthen the connections points between big or loosenly attached parts - the resin is glued with cyanoacrylate glue, therefore parts are not being weld together, and the glue seam is brittle. I've already suffered a crack in the glue seem between the fuselage halves on this model, due to not so careful handling. Also, it may be a nice idea to glue big parts together with epoxy glue, though I haven't tried that.

Thank you all very much!! I've also started to work on little base for it - check the photos. I've carved the imitation of the wooden structure on a circle-shaped wooden block and toned it with different washes.
