Leopard 1V
Beginning of PE
Replacing the one piece towhooks
Making room for the new grills
Snapshot impression of the progress so far
PE for the periscopes and added the antenna bases
Added the barrel and other details to the turret
Progress picture
Stowage bins are added and wheels are added
Towcables and smoke launchers are attached
Tracks!
Mantel plugs are added
Overal shot of the tank
Milliput which will be painted as tarp
Rubber mud flaps are added
Different angle
My calculations how I am supposed to make the canon simulator. A dutch design to train without munition.
The housing of the 4 simulation tubes
Found some random cardboard
The tube is extra long so the driver of the tank couldn't be hit by flying debris from the 4 tubes
Side view
The four inner barrels (a bit crooked), the antenna's and FN MAG
side view
Cleaned with soap for the painting process
Black basecoat
White highlights
vallejo USAF olive drab(71.016) as main coat
Searchlight cable and smoke launchers painted
custom made stickers
Painting the tracks
Finally added. The resin tracks were a pain to add because I had to use super glue. Which made the tracks fragile.
Finished product!
But I forgot the rolled up camouflage netting...
Cumbersome addition but worth the wait
The really finished product!

Great to see another Leopard 1V! I built one too (Leopard 1V | Album by Jasper_Breur (1:35) ), but used the old Leopard 1A1A1 as a base for the conversion. Fantastic work on yours!

Thank you! I was planning on using the 1A1A1 too but bought the wrong kit. 😛
