Forty years on a shelf and some recent progress.

1/32 FW-190 and Zero. Zero became a paint mule as it was a pretty ugly job. Nicer stuff was lost in many moves. However, the FW-190... I found replacement decals and then added (see bottom of the album) matching colors with my new found (but infant) airbrushing skills.

1/72: Hasegawa Fuel truck, Ohka flying bomb (lost the Betty), a Jake or Rufe floatplane.
1/48: Val, George, Mosquito and a Zero in there somewhere (wheels up).
1/1: DUST

1/72 Space Shuttle. Originally built as Columbia, I removed the decals and replaced them, plus did some touch-up paint after literally scrubbing the dust off the poor ship.. Dave appreciates that the bay doors are glued open.

Dust bowl from the other side. For the record. These all get dusted monthly with a makeup brush. Next house will have actual display cases.

This shows the collection with the addition of a 1/48 Toryu and 1/72 Emily. Also shows the restored FW-190. Also shows off some of the things I was doing for 40+ years. No, not just whiskey but publishing the Harpoon naval wargames and playing a few games along the way.

My first new build was actually the 1/32? Tachikoma. Started that in March of 2020 to ease me back into this during COVID. Then I did the Tamiya 1/35 M-3 Lee. Was in shrinkwrap from the 1970's. It was a fun build. I didn't weather it too much but after 40 years, I had to buy replacement decals.

Smug for no reason. Was just learning the power of this site and when expanding into 3rd party bits, didn't quite figure out model numbers count.... So the Emily was the old one, the PE was for the new one (available for sale btw). the Me-262 was the simple one, which I then resold and bought the Level 5 version (and a lot of 3rd party bits).

My homebuilt stand to allows me to go vertical. What you don't see is the way my twin LCD's and scanner are set up to also maximize vertical space. Airbrush sits on the bottom black shelf. A good use for scrap wood and some old desk drawer/hutches!

Album info

As per the bio, I was an avid scale modeler in my youth (pre-computer) and never let go of some of my completed builds and a small stash. Here are some dusty pics (as these babies have been in my home offices since 1990). Towards the bottom are a few of my other restorations and completed builds plus a pic of my modeling station (home built but it works for me).
