Gee Bee Racer
These are all the parts of the kit. I have bought it with Engine and propeller already painted. I painted the pilot myself.
I used a pin vise to drill holes for the wing support cables, which will be placced after assembly and painting.
I have also drilled the landing gear fairings, to place the underwing support cables.
This is the engine and propeller that were already painted.
I also have used the pin vise to drill the fuselage to insert the support cables.
The interior will not be much visible, but I had to use a styrene sheet to place the aft bulkhead, to cover the hole, and to place a headrest afterwards.
Fuselage closed. I use CA to fill the gaps, sand it and rescribed the lines.
Fuselage, wings and landing gear assembled.
Another angle of the main assembly.
Parts ready for priming.
Parts primed with aeronautical zinchromate.
White paint applied. White touchups will be performed later. Started to isolate the areas in order to apply red paint.
Started to isolate the white area with Tamiya tape, in order to apply red paint.
Red paint applied on top.
Red paint applied on bottom
Final result with Tamiya tape removed.

It really seems like an "egg plane", but it is actually a huge engine in a tiny fuselage. The challenge of this kit is much like the challenge of flying it!

I suppose so, Gustavo 😉 I once had this kit, but after the Dora Wings offering reached the market I gave it to my friend... I am not so brave as you, presumably 😉
