To quote a French test pilot of that period, bombers were designed like medieval castles, with turrets, crenels and machicolations. I'm in too.

Luckily not all of them Dave 😄 E.g. LeO 451, MS 225 or that lovely blue hydroplane we admired here recently and which name I forgot 🙁
PS. Loire 210 it was 🙂

I agree with Łukasz, but don't forget the Potez 540: One of the few French bombers that I like from that era, along with this Bloch 210, LeO 451, Couzinet, Farman or Potez 630 series 😉
For most of the rest bombers I agree with David 😄 😛

Ah cuajete, this one is also in my stash
Farman (SNAC) NC 223.4 (Azur AIR006, 1:72)
But it is nearly twice as big as the others..

btw in terms of oddity the british designsbetween the wars, were close behind in some cases far beyond the French ones.
It seems the guys who designed the Dreadnoughts in WWI changed to the Airforce designing offices 🙂

Leaving the offtopic - was there anything provided for the interior furniture or is it as hollow as the Amiot?

Hello all, thanks for yoour comments, I agree with you bombers from the 30s are quite ugly. I hope you will enjoy following my assembly.

I personally don't find most of those big English bombers so ugly (some yes, but only a few, just like some french trams). I would add the Handley Page Hampden to NOT be included in the ugly list. Anyway, I guess they all did their job. Sorry for the off-topic while Sébastien's progress arrives 😉
