Tamiya King Tiger Ardennes Front in scale 1:35.

Goal was to practice on basic weathering of dirt on wheels and tracks and I chose this model since it has a simple enough camouflage pattern and should look somewhat fresh without too much weathering on the rest of the model. Tamiya is also a sure bet when I don't want to spend too much time on fixing fits of pieces, they usually come together quite easy.

Dirt on wheels and surrounding areas was made using wash made from oil paints and thinner. Straight forward technique that was easy to manipulate for a while before drying but hard to get a realistic look of it. Played around before I straight up jammed it around with a brush with shortened hairs and got something I was pleased with.

Dirt on tracks is ready made was for this purpose, just slab it on and get on with me life.

Weathering on rest of tank and motorcycle was oil paint in small dots then thinner on a brush and sweep it out so it would gather close to crevases or edges. For some reason the white oil paint solidified in seconds and wouldn't dissolve afterwards...

Officer and motorcyclist clothing was semi gloss black to start with then dry brushing with dark grey and then again with slightly lighter grey but more careful. Looked decent enough. The motorcycle is rather dirty but the rider is not which of course doesn't make any sense but I was too please with the rider and didn't want to do any more.

The camoflage dots on the loader jacket was a pain but not as much as when I spilled paint on my pants.
