I am fairly new to scale modelling so any constructive criticism is welcome. I wanted the plane to look as if it had been flighting for some time over the ocean by using a white and a silver dry brush. The cockpit detail was good and the rigging on the back is close to what the real thing had but I struggled to get the wire to go down to the body from the middle of the horizontal cave so instead both come of the vertical tail on the back of the model.

I did finished the Corsair IV by Revell yesterday. Your approach to color fading gave you a great finish, I really love It. My approach was totally opposed, so I find that that yur blue finish is perfect while mine has a strange Violet colour.
Really beautiful and ashtonishing job.

I've had a look at your project it looks great. I used Humbrol 34/11 to give the plane a whethered look and Humbrol 104 blue.

I've been restricted to Vallejo acrylics (I have a little daughter and live usually in a flat), so I have used a little imagination: the base is Game Color electric blue, two upper coats with Night Blue and Turkish Blue and a wash in light grey. I get the faded and used tone I wanted but I think the blue get a strange colour (depending on lights) and darker shade.
Really, I do love your job and I am enjoying a lot the Sporting of diferences between the Corsair IV and your American model.
