I like the idea of the matchbox group build. Interestingly enough there is a 4-mot groupbuild in another forum where I also use this project as an entry.
I plan to use the some brass gun barrels and the falcon canopies for this one.

One article berates the Matchbox props and the builder added Revell B-24D paddle blades. That is a step away from accuracy. The Privateer used the low altitude engine packages with the narrow "toothpick" low altitude props. The Matchbox props need just a slight tone down at the transisition to look good. The old Revell B-17E/F are close too ( Memphis Belle/ Peggy D/ Lady Luck etc). The FROG. 17e may be worth a look too. However the typic paddle blades are rarely found on the. Privateer. Take a look at pictures as the best aid.
