a resin kit I have had in my stash for 15 years or so. I collect and build heinkels at 1:72nd scale. i have about 25 different heinkels built. So I thought it was time that I tried my hand at this Planet Models resin kit.

This Heinkel 114 Planet resin kit has been in my stash for about 15 years.....so I thought I better build it! I have built a few Planet models before...as far as resin go...they are quite good. After a far bit of cutting off bits of thick resin and some sanding I was ready to start. After painting the rudimentary cockpit (the seats were ok...cast in, raised seat belts) then after careful flat sanding I joined the fuselage halves. great fit...and the shape looks right. the fuse is quite slim and surprisingly long. the fabulous bottom wing fitted....ok.... After some thick paint on filler and super glue....more sanding. it has come up great! After sanding and shaping all other parts I glued some struts in place and for the first time built a lego wing holder and brace guide. It help in lining up the wing brace/props. After painting the bottom...masked the sided....then sprayed the Swedish green....Now....it is getting harder...all the remaining parts are getting smaller and smaller and I am now terrified as to how to connect the top wing on with super glue in one simple exact motion!! Ideas anyone??? More to come.. Cheers Richard
