Hi all, I'm on the hunt for aftermarket Halifax bomber extended wingtips. Looks like both companies I have found are out of business (Aeroclub & Alleycat). Any other suggestions?

Look like UncleBillsHobby has it marked for sale (you can see on Handley Page Halifax Mk.6/8/9 Wing Tips (Aeroclub V141, 1:72). Or try make your own 🙂

Thanks, I did reach out. We'll see if he replies. Making my own??? Wouldn't know where to start.

Good luck with it. Not sure how complicated the wingtips are, but if there is a will there is a way 😉. And welcome to SCM, hope to see you posting some project pics 👍

I think you would be surprised how easy it is to make something like this. You just need a sheet of plastic card of a suitable thickness and a few basic modelling tools. You could even use the photo from the Allycat page to get the correct shape.
If you give it a go, I'm happy to offer help.

Any tips for an invisible repair on a damaged windshield ? It's a 5mm crack in the middle bottom upwards. TIA

I've heard quite a few people ask this question and unfortunately I've not seen anyone suggesting a practical solution to a completely invisible repair.
(one impractical solution I've read about is to use Araldite….which is left to dry in a vacuum. I don't know about you, I haven't got a vacuum chamber.)

I think it looks fine. I sometimes like to build the older toolings out of a desire to see what I can do with it, plus that way I don't feel as bad if it comes out awful!

It is a great value to money relationship BUT in Germany the package and the decals of the Wittmann Tiger are censored by paint. Its a shame that historic models have to be castrated like this. In this case its JUST A TIGER for a good price, but you WILL NOT be able to build the Wittmann one correctly. I am pissed by this fact. With a little patience you can at least restore the cartonage to the original without a fat black dot n it for the optics but the decals are trashed by the gestapo dudes who censor it. Its a shame because it would be a great value after all with the decals intact or at least some alternate decals that are slightly altered like other manufacturers do...
