This is the first time for me to tackle a complete resin kit. And when I look at the individual parts, it will be a real challenge. There is an extreme amount of rework needed on each part. Hope I can get it to work.

A 3D-printed PZL Dromader???!!! Following for sure!! (The Grand Models cast-resin kit is perhaps above my skills - and I still wait for the Karaya injection one...). Your ag-aircraft & ground equipment dio will turn... monumental! 👍

Thank you all for watching. Alex, I also saw the Grand Models kit for the M18, but I was frightened from some build reviews, there is a lot of rework to do on that kits. I have now the same or a bit more work, but I got the 3D file for free from Thingiverse.
I am really not a Pro in sratch building but I will try to engrave some panel lines and add some more greeblies to the plane. The 3D file is very poor in details.

Fantastic Dromader! (I wish I had one... I have no access to 3d printing, alas...😭 )

Robert, you can have a look to the Grand Models resin kits. I am much more disappointed that there is no kit in 1:72 and no 3D file of a PZL 106 Kruk. I would spend some money on that because it would fit perfect to the Dromader and Cmelák.

Actually, that is something that makes me angry too - I would love to see (and buy) decent kits of "Wilga" and "Kruk" (not mentioning PZL M-15 "Belphegor" 😉 )... but apparently no Polish manufacturers are interested in preparing these.

Guys... let's look a bit at the bright side: who would have thought a few years ago that one day (today!) there would be kits of the Cmelak, the Dromader, the Grumman AgCat (in both 1:72 & 1:48!!!), the Piper Pawnee?! Some are short-run, some are cast-resin, some are 3D-files-to print - nevertheless, something is slowly moving towards that direction! So, yes, I do hope too there will be someday a Kruk available in 1:72 or a Belphegor! And your buys of such kits and your modelling work proves that there's some interest in such topics! Keep it up! 👍

I am afraid there is a spelling error on the decals, Chris... I see "Dromedar" instead of "Dromader"... The plane looks awesome!

Robert, I can understand that it is confusing, but in the GDR, "Dromedar" was actually used. This is the German translation of the word. Feel free to search for pictures of it, here would be an example: [img1]

The excavator is still coming. I haven't dared to go any further yet. Let's see, maybe I'll get motivated again in the fall/winter. 😉

the price is in Rubles and converts to around 36 bucks. Your going to pay double possibly triple in shipping. Unfortunately as it is a recent manufacturer and the U.S. Currently has a complete ban on ANY Russian made products you may be waiting on this one a few years.

Hobby Easy in Hong Kong carries Arma. I've bought the 48 scale Hurricane. I live in the US. It was $52 and shipping was around $20. I've also bought multiple Live Resin products from them. They're a very good seller.

Im not a rivet counter or anything but.....
The more i looked at the kit boom i could not figure how it would work ..
Revell had their boom right im also going to support mine as they did and use poles instead of ratlines. Which tie down inside of the work area ?
Im not feeling that one either lol
Again thanks

Started out life as a Pyro Plastics kit which in turn was a reverse-engineered copy (pretty much a blatant rip-off) of the Model Shipways wooden kit of the M.T. (Motor Trawler) Hildina H-222 which was built by Cook, Welton & Gemmell Ltd. in 1951. If you look for photos, you will see it matches the Hildina except for some artistic license in the pilothouse windows mainly but an easy fix. The sloped rear pilothouse roof is also a distinctive feature of the Hildina. Apparently the front boom can face forward or aft (is it on a swivel?) according to need. I know the boom was used to hoist the cod end (heaviest part of the net) aboard. These kits are a great basis for conversion to R/C as the original plastic kits were motorized.

@Tcamp. Good color choice! Most of the British side trawlers had a black painted hull, white is definitely not the norm. I created an entry here for the Model Shipways Hildina because there wasn't one. It's the exact same scale and dimensions but is a wooden kit.

Welcome Ben!
Work has started. Drilled holes in the lower wing for hardpoints and centerline fuel tank. Cockpit is nearly complete with photos soon since it will be nearly invisible once installed.

Added a shot of last night's work. The cockpit was installed and I'm ready to join the fuselage halves. The wheel well construction was also completed along with some paint work there.

Thanks Villiers!
Well I had to go and say "no issues at all" out loud… Funny that the cowling fit perfectly during dry fitting but once glue was applied a bit of sanding was needed to make it fit right. Also I painted the inside of the cowl Yellow Zinc Chromate even though the instructions barely mention anything other than the cowl and prop magically there on the last step.

You could have just started with the Hawk plated kit 😂 I'm thinking of trying chipping fluid on the prop but I will need to prime at least under the yellow tips.

That certainly would have cut a step out! I'm going to use the old hairspray method since I don't want to wait a week for chipping fluid.

Extreme wear indeed. Maybe they didnt use etching primer back in the black and white days 🙂. You've done an excellent job of it. If this effect can be achieved with the old trusted hairspray method, why would one buy the chipping fluid. Maybe there are advantages I'm unaware of.

Not a bad little kit, looks quite robust and not to complicated. The cockpit was definitely worth getting, was it easy to find ??

Mr James: The hairspray has an added bonus in that one can will last for MANY projects.
Mr D: The kit is available under the Academy boxing I believe. As for the cockpit I believe it is still easy enough to find online.

Today I added the landing gear and the drop tank. The drop tank is not seen much in my photos, but I thought it looked nice. Decals are also done, so now it comes down to more weathering and exhaust stains.
