Im actually proud of myself for once. So because im spending so much money on this moc i actually did some research on the tank and anti tank gun. I even watched nigels modeling bench for like two hours for tips and tricks on how to get better (thanks john). I was hoping doing research would make me less nervous but instead now i constantly have a feeling of dread and nervousness, which isnt good because school is starting soon and obviously that makes me more nervous so im just gonna continue doing research in the hopes that fighting fire with a Churchill crocodile works. (For those who didnt get it the Churchill crocodile is a tank with a built-in flamethrower so like fighting fire with fire) i really hope i dont mess this up.

Martin is right. The best thing to do is learn by jumping in and building a kit. Don't expect your early efforts to be brilliant. But, every time you finish one, take a good look at what you could do better on the next one. (I wouldn't worry too much about things like weathering on early builds. You can always add that later on).

Scalemates is great, the problem is seeing the model your building being built by someone who is better at modelling than you….and there is always someone better. Without the internet as a kid we just built models for fun and all my mates were as crap at modelling as I was so I never knew it was possible to produce anything better. It was great.
Some of the modellers you see on here may have 40 or more years of modelling experience. If you compare your model to theirs you'll never be satisfied with what you produce. If you want to end up as good as some of the people on here you need to start simply and learn stage by stage as you go. The most important thing you need to remember now is to relax and just enjoy yourself, it isn't a competition it's supposed to be fun – particularly when you're young

Believe me, István, A-model kits are much more modeller-friendly than Mach 2... Take a look here, for example: modelingmadness.com/..korean/us/hammx2.htm

That's something to be excited about. Mach2 kits don't have the reputation of being shaking kits. 👍

As I said on the project, I wish you luck with this, it is something you seldom see, but it looks cool in the end. It is quite a long time ago when I did mine - al the best!
and, so far it does not look that bad for a mach2

What an audience I have... I feel a bit under pressure now 😉 @Martin - you're right, at least the polistyrene seems to be of a good quality.

Robert, once again you have chosen a great topic. The French experimental jet powered Leduc aircraft looked really futuristic at the time of its creation.
I wish you strong nerves and a lot of fun building your model!

Now I feel even more pressure 😉 ... @Bruce - I know what I am talking about, I have completed a few models from both producers already 😉 @Ludvik - I was lucky enough to see both Leduc 010 and 022 in Le Bourget museum and they still look futuristic imho 🙂

He certainly wouldn't be a disgrace as a space fighter in Star Wars. 😄
The photos of the kit parts show that you really have a lot of work ahead of you.

Still, the plastic is workable, Ben. As far as I have checked: it can be filed, filled, and glued... So, there is hope... 😄

I have five, not counting this one... Hmm...the testimony of what kind of mental disease it is? Nothwithstanding, only Mach 2 offered models of some exotic planes, like X-24.

I wish you luck Robert. Your going to need it (and probably a stiff drink or four). 😉
Was the kit mould made from soap? 😄

Thanks for your encouraging words, Gorby! ... It seems probable, taking into account that in some Mach 2 kits the material itself is "soapy"... 😄

A French prototype and a Mach 2 kit? Can't miss that... I see I'm late but a seat way back in the gallery must be still available...

Started a few days ago, AK here has made a great job, excellent exterior but also interior detail too! Many parts at every step and good fitting so far without any problems.
It's going to be a vehicle from British European Airways, Heathrow airport 1973.
After 6 hours of working time I have managed to complete the chasis, engine and most of the cabin too.

Progress on the cabin and roof top today.
The construction part has almost completed and after a dry fit the model seems to be ready for primer!
