I I remember opening a Christmas present Before Christmas, playing with the remotely controlled semi trailer truck until the truck's steering broke. wrap it up again and wait for better days crying my heart out 😄

Alec KMichael, they used them to keep deluded citizens from leaving the warm embrace of the homeland. And to interdict spies and other Western miscreans. Mostly flown by military pilots, so it was really a part of the Air Force. Czechoslovakia had a similar institution before 1939, primarily to keep Luftwaffe spy planes from infiltrating, and this continued this tradition, just against different enemies.

AlbertoIt looks excellent. Love the subtlety of the shading, but you can still definitely see it on the photos. May I ask how you use that Wauchop mix on pic 18?

Alberto, i use ,,wauchop mix´´ and insignia white both the same way. First i spray camouflge color. Then i mix this color with wauchop mix and spray darker patterns (over panel lines and some random rivet lines) Then i do the same with the mix of camo color and white. Finaly, i respray the whole surface with diluted camouflage color to achieve the desired contrast. this procedure can be repeated until you are satisfied.

Jakub Fiala AutorI'm sorry Patrick, i'm not able to tell you a mixing ratio. I just mixed some amount of black and brown to create some ,,dirty color". But i think, that it is not very important. For this purpose you just need some dark color. Maybe dark grey will work the same way.

35% H17 cocoa brown
10% LP35 insignia white

BohrmannIt's really fascinating to see how this model is developing, step by step. What strikes me is that you just can't tell that this is a 1/72 scale model, even when you zoom in with the camera., also considering that the ME-109 is a small aircraft in real life. It is just flawless and made with very great care. Should I be told that this is a 1/32 I would have no doubt that it is. Great work!

But I wanted to have an Avia in this livery in my showcase. Next on the workbench is Morane Saulnier M.S. 406 and then Sopwith Camel. So I believe it won't be that mainstream anymore 😄

Roland Sachsenhofer AutorThe 'Field Workshop' from Minicraft has been running for a while now, and now I've decided to finish it: I can use parts of it quite well when equipping the Junkers D.1 picture-documentation!
I would have liked a little more detail in one or two places - for example on the fittings of the pressurised bottles - Minicraft has a very good reputation here, but otherwise I'm very pleased with the subject matter and the kit design. The pictures show my attempt to breathe a little life into this beautiful and well-made kit parts. You should be able to find excerpts of them in pictures of completed models - so there will be a chance to see them again! 🙂

Lötkolben und fluche wenn beim Löten an einer Stell drei benachbarte fertige Lötstellen wieder aufgehen. Daher wie Ulf treffend schrieb: Meisterleistung und auch von mir ein gaaaanz großer Respekt. Fand AJP immer schon klasse, hab mich aber nie getraut auch wenn es m.E. der einzige Weg ist, Rippen und Stoff realistisch darzustellen. Hut ab!!!

bughunter AutorThe wings of the AJP Kits are PE parts, contains also thin yellow paper. I painted the brass wood brown to avoid the yellow brass shine and covered both sides with this paper as described in manual (it is a bit tricky). I added again some picture to explain.

bughunterIt was a kit of the no more existing French brand "AJP Maquettes". At the time, this was an elderly gentleman who had enclosed a handwritten invoice. Now the web site is dead 🙁 Really pity, there a were a nice collection of kits!

Thomas E.A nice little book with many photos to brush up the skills for building vegetation in dioramas. It informs about tools and materials to represent plants - above all in 1:35 scale. There is a wide range from purchasable materials to some collected in nature. A lot of helpful hints. For me (a greenhorn): highly recommended.

Ian Doody AutorJust picked up the 15" 1/48 Space 1999 Hawk Mk IX Interceptor. Looks to be a very nice kit. Pleasantly surprised at the details, nice heavy plastic. I really wanted a big one of these, and this is the largest I could afford, so far it's well worth the money. Plus I bought it straight from the Gerry Anderson site, as it was cheaper than anywhere else. Thinking about scratching a cockpit interior for it, although in the show it didn't have one. Not sure what version I'll do, pre production, from the episode, or a custom version. But it'll be a fun build.
