I am a big fan of Zvezda trucks. Such an awesome base to create such a showpiece....as Neuling says, a masterpiece. I have this kit on order. Is there a thread somewhere so we can see how all this detail was achieved?

Depends on pictures... adding dust on the sand is not so easy for me has I don't master technic yet. But advises are welcome 😉

I like to apply some pigment liberally onto areas where I want to have them and work them into the surface with a stuff brush or simply my fingers. You can repeat that until the desired effect is reached. At the wheels I would wipe some of the pigments off again from the top parts of the tires profile. You can fix the pigments with pigment fixer too.
Maybe that helps.

Thank you for the praise. It was a lot of fun to build this model. I have rebuilt the second cockpit, from the navigator, from the ejection seat an electronics box - Scratch. Next I changed the airbrake under the hull and later in the trunk about 50 g balast installed.

That makes it even more impressive Damian – the seat harness is exceptionally good. Not being as good a modeller as yourself, I ordered the Eduard cockpit etch yesterday – seeing your build reminded me to have a look, and I found one cheaper than normal, so thanks for the prompt. I was wondering about the weight in the nose – when your build is complete, I would be grateful if you could let me know if 50g is enough.
