Since Figure 6 shows a table for performance gains at different altitudes by injecting liquid oxygen into the compressor, I assume that this is the injection system.

@Nicolas and Skyhiker : yes is a test apparatus for injecting liquid oxygen into the turbocharger of a conventional DB engine.
I will add more info when the model will be finished, thank you!
