P-40K 64FS 57 FG Tunisia
After building a P-39 in a sand finish I wanted to do another USAC aircraft in another sand finish So I bought the Special Hobby P-40K with decals for this sand aircraft based out of Tunisia. I built as a break from a 1/16 Jeep I am also building waiting for some detail parts to arrive. As a break I built out of the box with the markings provided in the kit. I used Vallejo Air paints I primed it with Curtis Green, and using the hair spray technique I overpainted it with Areana sand which I then weathered to show the base green as wear and tear on the airframe. The underside is Curtis Gray. I weathered the whole airframe with Flory sand and added exhaust and machine gunpowder stains with black/brown eye makeup.
