Another tiny jet :)

Three sprues, so not many parts. No flash or mould seam marks.
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/8/2/7/1723827-26091-97-720.jpg)
Two-part canopy. Goodness knows how I'll paint the framing on the windscreen....
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/8/2/8/1723828-26091-56-720.jpg)
Just so you can get a feel for how small this airframe will be 🙂
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/3/1/8/1724318-26091-35-720.jpg)
I really don't want to snap off the pitot tube.
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/3/1/2/1724312-26091-96-720.jpg)
The kit part for an orange light is just a lump, so.... Let's use a piece of clear sprue instead. Rounded off the cut end.
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/3/1/3/1724313-26091-73-720.jpg)
A hole has been drilled from the underside of the base, then the top trimmed off.
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/3/1/4/1724314-26091-98-720.jpg)
Test fit of the new light. Clean up the rough edges next.
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/3/1/5/1724315-26091-97-720.jpg)
Inside of the drilled hole has been painted, and the clear piece inserted.
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/3/1/6/1724316-26091-76-720.jpg)
Looks better than the kit piece, phew!
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/3/1/9/1724319-26091-29-720.jpg)
Progress on the bits and bobs...The main assembly has been primed already.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/3/2/0/1724320-26091-26-720.jpg)
Undercarriage and covers added, wheels painted already. A temporary strut keeps that hatch steady, until the glue hardens.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/3/2/1/1724321-26091-73-720.jpg)
Some panels and lines black and white pre-painted, to try for some variation in the silver which will follow.
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/3/3/8/1724338-26091-54-720.jpg)
Silver applied, but a casualty....repairs later.
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/3/3/7/1724337-26091-86-720.jpg)
Canopy masked and paint applied. Interior green first, then silver.
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/3/3/9/1724339-26091-18-720.jpg)
Hmmm....a tail sitter. I should have stashed some lead in the nose void. Now I'll have to stow a slab of lead in the front wheel well.
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/3/4/0/1724340-26091-63-720.jpg)
Canopy un-masked and touched up. I need to re-visit this, and do it free-hand.
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/6/2/9/1727629-26091-68-720.jpg)
The next steps begin...
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/6/2/7/1727627-26091-98-720.jpg)
The thin red line was tricky, as it goes all the way round the fuselage. Fits perfectly, so much relief!
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/6/2/8/1727628-26091-33-720.jpg)
The photos always show up paint defects, so more fine touch ups done in the cockpit. The light has also been polished (in situ) and re-painted.
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/8/2/8/1727828-26091-18-720.jpg)
Lots of fun on this F-86F-40NA Sabre. I just wished the instructions mentioned a need for some weight in the nose...
![Album image #21 Album image #21](/albums/img/8/2/9/1727829-26091-44-720.jpg)
![Album image #22 Album image #22](/albums/img/8/3/0/1727830-26091-15-720.jpg)
Loose fitted canopy.
![Album image #23 Album image #23](/albums/img/8/3/1/1727831-26091-82-720.jpg)
Colourful tail livery, but the kit provides no information at all.
![Album image #24 Album image #24](/albums/img/8/3/2/1727832-26091-23-720.jpg)
Well, the pitot tube survived!
![Album image #25 Album image #25](/albums/img/8/3/3/1727833-26091-38-720.jpg)
Perhaps I need to scratch a tresle to hold up the rear of the fuselage (and keep the nose wheel down).
![Album image #26 Album image #26](/albums/img/8/3/4/1727834-26091-55-720.jpg)
A really enjoyable build, of this Trumpeter kit. The decals are really thin and went on smoothly, settling with no issues.

Welcome, Jeff. I'll try to avoid the temptation to rush this, and will have to try very hard NOT to break off the pitot tube.....
