Audi Sport Quattro 1985
Interior is now finished.
Added radiator and wing on the back and some small other stuff.
Attached front window, added decal and 4 PE "keep-the-window-in-place-holders" 😉
Put in the rear window as well
Did the panellines as well, as I scribed them quit deep before the effect is quit sublte in my opinion.
Frame with 6 holes.
Frame was used as a guide to drill 6 holes in the side windows as well.
A length of clear sprue was then pushed through frame and window.
Finally the excessive sprue was cut off like on the bottom right.
Completed right side window glued to body.
Added scratchbuilt number plate and rally sign as well as bonnet fasteners.
Put windscreen wipers in place, note that one of them had to be shortened (red arrows). Also attached the side mirrors.
Scratchbuild antenna. This is actually an acupuncture needle!
Almost done now, only the mudguards but I'm not happy with the ones that were in the kit. Have to think about something else...

Nope, still on my bench but havent' touched it for a while now... Just need to add the seatbelts to finish the interior. After that it's just a few things on the body and it should be done....

A bit of progress with the windows. I tried a different method of attaching clear part to the side windows.

Great work Tim and a good idea with the clear parts. Everytime I see a quattro I get the amazing sound of the 5 cylinders in my head....missing it soo much. 😉

Almost done 🙂 Added some pictures of the final details. Only thing missing are the mudguards. I don't like the one that came with the transkit so I'll have to think about a solution for that.

Well Roland, I made it to be Stig Blomqvist's car, not Walter's 😉

I did? I wasn't there anymore to pick it up, but understood I got a bronze medal, not gold?
