WIP RHAF Bf109G-6

I’ve been working on this project as a quick build to finish for a local Liberation event. Too bad I couldn’t finish it in time. I also noted that I haven’t made a SM project, so here it is! 

 

 

 

I put on some Flory Grime wash and am in the process of wiping it off again. 

Somehow the decals didn’t snuggle down the way I like it but…. Yeah… ? 

Got a final satin coat on this evening. Time to lightly grime up things as the historic picture I work from doesn’t show it to be severely weathered.

For the spinner I deviated from the instructions. HAD has you put on a spiral but the reference picture shows a whole dark spinner. Looking at other pictures from this unit it seems they have the 1/3 white part so that’s what I opted for in my build as well. 

 

The main build is done! Now I’ll have to add the antenna wire, canopy locking strut and underbelly antenna before smudging it up a little bit.
