There aren't any interior shots I've found, so I've been using photos of Russian and Venezuelan Mi-17V-5s to do the interior...

Biggest difference from the kit's cockpit is the one-piece console in the V-5.

The major cuts for the fuselage are done - for the aft loading ramp, the double-width door on the port side and the extra door on the starboard side.

Work on the floor of the cargo bay, with the PE floor...

I managed to get the 'roof' of the cockpit off without damaging it, and so was able to get some of the PE inside there, like the first aid boxes...

So, making progress! Since the side doors and the loading ramp are going to be open, I want to detail the cargo bay as much as I can.

Thanks Dean! Mi-10, wow... that would be a daunting build what with all those spindly legs and struts and whatnot!!
Got some more work done today - finished the floor of the cargo area. Added the black dashed line using spare number decals cut up, and weathered the floor. In a pack of cheap eyeshadow I found some browns and yellows that look just awful from a make-up point of view but look just right for weathering, so used those, plus the black from a Tamiya Weathering Master package to dirty up the cargo floor.

Thanks, guys! 🙂
And yes - this eyeshadow thing is one I'm going to add to my regular repertoire. Perhaps amongst those super low-end packs there could be some blues or oranges that would be useful on exhaust cans (like in the Tamiya package)... and I could get like 10 of those for the price of one Tamiya pack!

I added a couple of small panels (the white square from .005" sheet and the little black one is a decal) and the hose part of the fire extinguisher... I think I can call the forward wall finished now. I've also continued work on the ceiling - painted it, and put 'o' decals to represent the flush-mounted light fixtures... I think they'll look okay once everything is closed up.

Nice work so far! I was once lucky enough to get a ride on one of Czech AF Mi-171Sh - really cool helicopter!

Thanks, Seb! I'm envious - that sounds like it was great fun! Only thing I ever got a ride in was a CP-140 back in 1991 or 1992...
