Well, I wasn't going to but since you ask... I didn't have access to a good picture of this particular aircraft and I'm not too familiar with how Wildcats weather so I just gave a general grimy wash and tipped in a few silver patches to suggest bare metal, using a profile of 41-F-8 as a guide.

It will be sufficient enough... I don't think this kind of plane had enough time to be heavily weathered...

Album info
Almost completely repainted and decals touched-up following a varnishing accident. Port rudder bars painted on after the decal broke apart whilst positioning.
