After a bit of time away from doing much modelling I've got back to it and finished off this kit. It was a nice build and an interesting subject matter.

Thanks Soeren, I reckon it's a kit you'd enjoy. Some of the other camo designs aren't that inspiring but it's a good kit.

Hi Ben, I like your future-fighter (future from the point of ´45).
Is the color correct? I think, on the top of the plane, it is to glossy.

Arne, it's close to the colour and the lacquer coat came out a bit glossier than I wanted. To be honest I can't say I'm the most particular about exact colours and schemes, as long as I'm reasonably happy with the outcome it's right by me.

Choppa, the Japanese were almost as inventive in their designs as the Germans, obviously they were fighting in a different arena and had different needs but I find it pretty interesting that they made up so much ground in aviation so quickly.

Interesting aircraft...if that rear facing propeller is going to keep that aircraft aloft, it must have been hella powerful...reminds me of the B36 Peacemaker aircraft, I believe, that had 6 rear facing props and 4 jet engines - they called it '6 turning and 4 burning'. Looks great!

The Japanese understand the power of pragmatism which is why their engineering is so excellent 🙂

The J7W1 Shinden has a similar prop setup, that neither got past the prototype stage before the end of the war I guess we'll never know how it would've performed.

There's a lot of good thinking in that layout, good visibility for the pilot and with the engine in the middle it means a lighter nose which means more pitch authority etc.
reminds me of the Vampire 🙂

Choppa, there's a company called Cobalt that have built a private plane with a pusher canard design which has come into the market recently.

Yeah seen it, very sexy 🙂
Burt Rutan did some good work in this area too and the Optica was another unusual variant too, I like them 🙂
