I was looking for something different after building 7 spitfires, i built tanks as a lad but everyone builds Panzers so i got interested in more periferal ww2 vehicles and i am enjoying it. I have only started learning weathering like this so i'm learning things as well.

As a young lad in the 1960s to mid 70s I had built every Airfix plane tank and ship, but just brush painted. Then when my boys got to that age it was a good excuse for me to dabble in modelling again, however they did not get obsessed like I did and about acdozen unbuilt kits were consigned to the attic for 12 years. However when I rediscovered them after moving house 2 years ago I decided to build them. Now I am finding models made to a fantastic level of engineering and detail, the hobby never had it so good, and with the help of this site and Youtube I am loving it. However I am being threatened by my wife to stop and go back to amatuer photography because she 'hates' Airfixes as she calls them all!!!!

I totaly agree About how far our hobby has come these days. One of the nicer sides of live. Querious about What the threat of your wife was????. My wife Let me be with an understanding smile????.

Its the storage issue lex. I suggested hanging the planes from the ceiling on fishing line, she just scowld back at me, lol
