Thanks for the extra photo's Bart. I have a bit of a soft-spot for the Shackleton – at my local airport (Coventry) the 'Shackleton Preservation Trust' are restoring one at the moment. I assume it's Airfix? It looks like a good kit.

What a beaut! So, that's the recent Revell release? I have a Modelcraft stowed away in my stash...but this is one of two recent new toolings in ages. Niiiice...

Hi Kelly, thank you very much for your kind comment... indeed it is the Revell release, which was great to work on.

My dad used to call this 40 thousand rivets flying in close formation. I think Revell counted every one!

Nice one, very nice... seems weird, a low-vis camo, and high-vis markings...

Playtime 222, well found out from well informed sources that they acctually have a guy who's single job is rivet counting 🙂

Probably an accountant in the RAF who would say 'Surely you don't need this many...'

On the strength of this project, I went to the hobby store and...lo...they had the kit on the shelf and I brought it home. Now you are an official 'enabler'.
