The "Bronco" T80E Workable track link set. AB3565

Album image #1
There are now more model manufacturers on the market than at any other time, and ALL of them have something excelent for the fussy modeller, and this track set is one example of brilliance.

Album image #2
The 'instructions' are basic, but with enough information to get the message across as to where every thing fits

Album image #3
To 'simplify' the whole process. I started with zip lock plastic bags with the number and prefix letter of the part taped on the outside of each bag. A1 then A2 then A3 then 'B' for the pivot pins.

Album image #4
The removal and clean up of all the parts first will help speed the build process so much better.

Album image #5
These 'flow gate' points must be removed completly. BUT. Great care and attention is needed here, as the pivot pins are extremly thin and brittle. So, PLEASE, take extra care when addressing this issue, otherwise, they are 'unrecoverable' if damaged.

Album image #6
I used a piece of wood from the icecream stick, positioning it under the flow gate point and gently slicing the part from the tree point.

Album image #7
The amount of waste is more than what is in the actual finished kit. :-/

This is one process. having all the outer track links laid out first, but one track link at a time is better, as you have more control over all the parts.

Album image #12
IT is VITALLY important that you use only the right amount of glue when assembly of these small parts takes place, as any excess will "flow" to where it will inhibit any free movement you want.

Album image #13
On each 'pivot pin' is a lug at either end. This lug MUST be visible for the right assembly proceedure, other wise, when it comes to the fitting of the 'Guide horns', they will not fit.

85 links need to be built, so I made sure I kept 'track' hahaha of how many I had done by marking off four at a time. Actually, for the tamiya M40 kit, 86 links are required.

Good to know guys. I was really stoked by the end result, as when I first saw it, I said "Yeah, right. Like this is gonna' happen. :-O
If I had a great video camera, It would have been a whole lot simpler to show how it all went together. But, Oh well. :-/

Album info

This track set is perfect for the Tamiya M40 Self Propelled Gun in the Sherman chassis. Featuring the wider tread that went on the "Easy 8" And when done with all due care and diligence, turn out to be a fantastic model in it's own right.
This is a step by step process of the build, and I can not stress enough, ALL excess plastic MUST be removed without damaging any parts in the process.
