Started! Here are the first impressions of Valoms B-45 Tornado. Parts are very short run-style but fit is proper and detailing seems sufficient. The fuselage length is quite big- I am happy! 🙂

Welcome, Ekki!
The fuselage has been closed up- here are pictures of the interior now enclosed....
Fit is ....mediocre as far as I can see now. A lot of glue has been invested in joining these two fuselage half's 🙂

The Valom-kit shows some sink marks on rather obvious places. Those marks and the -overall- mediocre fit will cause some serious filling and sanding.
But the evolving shapes are nice, at all.

Wings, tailplane and fuselage have been joined- and filling and sanding is done in most areas.....
It will not take a long and I can apply the primer for the Alclad-metal colors 🙂

Here are the last two building steps: painting the canopies ans the white fin-tips in one step, followed by priming all surfaces with Gunzes "H-77".
Next will be applying the first metallic shades with Alclad.

The first session of masking and spraying on several Alclad shades of metal has been done. It will take a few more steps to have built up the impression it will look finished.

The paint work with Alclad is done at last- an a coat of glossy clear from Gunze has sealed the surface and prepares a base for the decals. These will come next!

Being complimented for metal painting by a champion like you is quite honorific! Thank you for this!
And yes- I did not know the Fifties-Tornado either before I stumbled over this Valom kit 🙂

Roland, keep the ball flat 🙂 I like to use Alclad, but in general I tend to put to much color on my models. So this can't happen with real alu, so you can say I have used it to avoid painting😎

Not much left to do! Essentially there a lot of antennas waiting to be fitted- and some cyanacrylate glue will make a pretty glazing of the position lights-so I hope 🙂

The B-45A is finished! The last touches and final paintings showed no challenges, so the completion of this noteworthy Valom-kit was done rather quickly.
This is a very fine kit with a few issues- and this does refer rather to the manual and not to the kit parts. The decals, however, proved to be quite tricky.
I hope you like the pictures- I am quite glad to got this Alu-sparkling project done! 🙂
Thank you for all your interest and helpful comments!

Roland, this is really nice work - but on the final pictures you forget to unmask the windows of the tail gunner 🙂
