Hey Peter, this is actually a very simple technique and I consider it a rush job because it can be done in a few hours tops. The hardest part of this was the 3D printing, lol. 20 years ago I was into this hobby seriously. I used to compete nationally and the number of times that I would place or come in third and ask the winners for advice is hard to guess. Without fail, every time I ever asked for advice or help, they would always oblige happily. I remember once Mig Jimenez sat down with me for over an hour showing a modulation technique that blew my mind. It's one of the reasons I love this hobby, the sharing of advice and techniques. That being said, I would love to pay that forward if you are interested. If you would like to video chat this weekend, I will setup a webcam in my model area and I can demonstrate it and answer any and all questions. Also, what I find to be really helpful is if you show me what you are working on and we can talk about strategies that are directly relevant to your particular methods or painting. I think showing a technique is one thing, but giving direct feedback on something you are working on is much more helpful. It helps find a way to insert it into your methods. The offer is non-expiring, so if you just want to ask random questions down the road as well.. it's all good and I would be happy to help.
