Yeah I experimented with a new rust technique, I plan on smoothing it up, and using chipping fluid on it with the OD on top

Thanks! It was a really nice kit. I think I would have preferred not to do the winter camo wash in the end, but being away from it for a while I guess it looks pretty good!

Since this was a prototype which was never used on the field, and if not mistaken not even got out of the factory, I built it in a totally different scenario. I do not want to invade this post with my links, but if anyone would like to see my version, check in my albums.

Yeah this is more of a "what if" and styled like the cool but unrealistic box art.

There are some things in this kit which were not made as the real thing, I had to make deep research on this tank to find out about some facts and what metals were used especially in making the turret. The turret in the kit has some minor but very evident mistakes. I ended up contacting people who worked in tank factories in the 60's (even though this is a tank of the '45 ) but I managed to get some good information about it.

the kit is made with the turret entirely made of cast steel (texture), when in fact the top plates where hot rolled steel welded to the cast steel shell, welding was stainless steel, so even after long time it had to remain shiny or mostly silvery and non rusty.
To be honest looking back on the photos I took while constructing, that was the major flaw of this model, other that that it was a really good one. The only other thing I had to replace was the side turret rack which I found it was a bit thick in plastic, so I made it in metal.

Ottovon, don't forget that this tank was a prototype and never used in the field, so any of the paint schemes on the instruction sheet and on the box art were not real (on this tank).
