I got the Aires update/ correction for this aircraft. The nose cone is I think a direct copy from the kit with maybe a little done to the geometry of the cone, but I did not see a difference. On the positive side- now I have a backup! 

Here is a view of the spinners and prop blades side by side. You can see the Aires (rt) does have a very different shape.  

 

Here the whole assembly was wet sanded ready for pencil lines to map out rivets. 

Here is the model during the overall sanding. In order to get closer to the drawings I have, I just added a little styrene, putty and a strategic but thick Mr Surfacer - with at brush. hair dryer, brush more- anyhow this bit is pretty much done.  

 

My only regret is I can’t see pe pedals

Preparing to draw in the Panel rivet lines witha .05 pencil. I used an eraser guard as a straight edge. I ended up cutting it up with my photoetch scissors. so I had lots of shapes to create any angle or curve..  

 

After the seams and gaps were filled and sanded, the whole fuselage and wings got a slight polishing. U can see the pencil lines for rivets. 

 

I need to do a bit of work on the intake cooler interior. mainly getting the scoop directionals inside- need to meet the outside housing. anyhow..onwards. 

 

Rivets both directions. 

I was having a tough time seeing the pencil on the dark Kit plastic- so i sprayed a super thin coat of Mr Surfacer.This also helped me see any cracks or seams that need touching up. And a better color to draw and make rivets lines.  

 

 

 

 

 

It was not as easy as I thought it would be to evenly rivet the shroud shape.
