This new mold is much more palatable to build. The engraved panel lines and detail are gorgeous, in stark contrast with a few shapes which are a bit too simplistic.
Anyhow, it's up for priming and gunship grey already!

Looks fantastic! all those details on that kit, I wonder why I am still building 1:48...Are you going for that grimy look like your title picture?

Thanks! This is a nifty little kit.
I'll try to reach something close to the title picture indeed. Might as well make that uniform grey a bit more interesting, and hopefully improve my oil paints game in the process😉.

Beautiful Pierre! Looking at your timeline, you spent more time painting, decalling and weathering, does that mean the kit itself is easy to build?

Thanks Patrick. The wonky timeline reflects more my lack of time/motivation than anything.
However it really is an easy build, the main building flaws are in pics 5-6-7. Seamless intakes/exhaust tubes should be doable without too much pain.
I didn't put the vertical stabs in until after painting to make that operation easier, but I don't like the result and wish I had faired them in prior and blended the root properly.
It was only necessary to remove some plastic from the model to fit the aftermarket exhausts, so that was also easy. The kit wheels are alright too, not sure why I bothered with the reskit set, I'd probably have ended up with straighter landing gears.

Ouais j'aime bien, avec les SDB ça fait bizarre. J'ai aussi le F-15E avec un GBU-31 sur le pylône centrale, ça fait genre gros coup de marteau si besoin!

Beautiful work (on both Eagles) - superb (&still realistic) variety in the grey finish and lovely details 👍
The Nozzles are a dream - the KA model stuff seems to really be worth the coin, especially on complex assemblies like here... Almost 2x Aires price, but man, the detail & finesse... And you made it truly shine 👍

Top notch pierre, looks very realistic, cool choice of loadout and just stunning used-look finish 👍
