I painted the cowlings while still on the sprue to make it easier to hold them.

Painted the entire plane with the Japanese sky and it looked fantastic.

The stencils were put on which was fiddly.

Thanks Derek, the photoetch for this kit from Eduard is so small and trying to fit it all together is a challenge but only doing my best. I do really like the Blue and green colours for the Zero. Also I do wish that Tamiya did more World War 2 1/32 aircraft such as the Me 262, Spitfire Mk1, Bf109, Hurricane and plenty more.

agreed, if they upscaled all their recent 48ths that'd be da bomb, but looks like they are no longer interested in 32nd anymore...
great looking cockpit and paint btw, watching 👍

The aircraft carrier that this Zero was on is called "Soryu".

Thank you mate, I used to know all the tail codes. It's been a while. Great history on that attack!

I am thinking of building a P-40B Kittyhawk which fought the Zero at Pearl Harbour, but unsure what is the best kit for the P-40B in 1:32 scale. Any ideas let me know.

Thanks Jim, I thinking of building the P-51D Mustang after I have built my BT-7 tank. I am looking forward to it!
