2 -3 coats of gloss varnish to get the surface nice and shiny and it's time for decals

two or three application of Microscale soft worked almost everytime, only two or three places needed more persuasion with X20A

Definitely. It's really good stuff. One just need to be aware that this stuff is like cold lava (it flows over time). Have a search for this stuff. AK is selling one, same stuff is also sold under the name Panzer putty.
The best results are if you place the stuff on the model and spray the colors right away. I left small snakes over night and sprayed the model the next day (see Mig-15 over Korea) and it was fine. but the snakes were slightly bigger. I was happy with the result, you just need to be aware that this stuff is constantly flowing. I hope this short summary will help.😉 Cheers!
