Wow! That is huge! How is the kit? A models seem to have a reputation for being "challenging"....

Challenging for it's size alone!!! I also wonder about the quality of the kit... 🙂 And the thing is 1,35m in wingspan???

It has been very challenging! Some fitment issues. The detail is not accurate on the cockpit area and some detail is lacking. But when the cockpit is covered there is very little that will be visible without a flashlight. The plastic for the body and wings is not styrene while all the other parts are so superglue is required for those joints which is clearly recommended in the directions. Overall I have clearly enjoyed the challenge of this kit and will scratch build some of the finer details which are missing. As far as where I will display it, that is the real question. At this point I am thinking a card table or folding table will be necessary. I have a room dedicated to all my 1/72 aircraft so I am making certain to build it in that room. 🙂

I haven't really understood how big the Hercules was before. Seeing the size compared to a B-17 is remarkable.

Finally got the 8 motors mounted. This kit has been a real bear. Unfortunately the windows got fogged when I connected the styrene windows to the fiberglass hull with superglue. I could kick myself for not using the white glue. Any suggestions on how I may be able to correct that would be hugely appreciated, if it's even possible.

Album info
This is the largest 1/72 scale aircraft I have ever built. It dwarfs my larger aircraft such as the B-17F which you can see next to the tail of the Hercules. It has been just over 2 months that I have been working on this giant. Over 520 parts and definitely a challenge to build.
