Thank you guys! I'm really learning a lot and with your help and enthusiasm I keep myself motivated. I'm finishing the shields and will start painting the dragon head. The sail is a big challenge as I don't know how to make them yet. Then the rigging and ...voila!

Planking the deck was easier than the hull, although it was much more time consuming! The deck strips had to be cut to size and properly aligned and glued to the base sheet. The work went straightforward and only a light sanding was necessary before adding the details. Once all the details were glued in place, I again used a combination of different tones of varnishes and oils.
Then, I took care of shaping the mast and the yard with a small lathe and hand-shaping the tiny cleats here and there that would be important when adding the sail and rigging the ship.
