As a new years Resolution I decided to finish a project wich I started more than a year before and lay it beside.
Since yesterday I finished the wheel wells, next comes the nozzle and the cockpit. Up to know the kit parts fall together like a Tamiya Kit

Thank you Stephan.
Yes, it is a pity that it is easier to start something new than finishing something already started.
This one is developing nicely. I will finish the cockpit in the next days, than i can close the fuselage
Cheers

Yesterday night I started the base and finished it basically. Today the last parts for the cockpit will arrive, so I hope to finish it this evening. I will keep you posted

Welcome Roland, sounds like a bad Mig Mojo on our benches. Maybe you can spend one of your new year's resolutions on that project too. #migresuscitationjanuary😉

Welcome Jos
The cockpit and Seat are finished, just some more color on the Radom and I can glue the fuselage together.
Still a nice kit which I can fully recommend

Thank you Roland.
Painting the Aires seat was a lot of fun but the Eduard set belts were horrible. I built several sets of HGW seatbelts before, all were glued with the same superglue but this time the glue melted the belts. Luckily only on areas where i could cover it.
I hope that the belts will still be visible after the final weathering and dusting process of the model.
The original one is totally faded and more than dirty

A little update of tonight's progress.
Main parts are glued and I started to fill and sand some minor gaps. Will take another evening but nothing serious.
The fuel tank is primed in black and I added some white mottling , let's see how this will turn out

After another year on the shelf of doom, I blew off the dust again and finished the main assembly and filling/ sanding. Now some rescribing and attaching the canopy before the primer reveals the last spots where to fill and sand a last time.
I hope to bring this to the finish line now. Cheers

That seat looks so awesome, also the base and the nose cone,.def. watching this one! I plan a museum-mig as well, only from a russian museum where no one trims the lawn😉

how's this one doing Moritz? The work so far is too good for this model to never to see the light of day. The bang seat is absolutely stunning! One of the most realistic I've ever seen in this scale.

Thx mates, but this build seems to be my cryptonite.
Every time I head back on this, something unespected happens. I hope to come back on this soon
