It is fun working with smaller models. In addition to having smaller submarine kits, I also have the Typhoon in 1:350 scale, a WIP, and because of how the hull parts are four pieces and not two, assembly is tricky, requiring some putty work as well. So.. easier with smaller models I think. 🙂

Fun little project. Finished in two weeks. References on the internet are a bit sketchy. Especially for her first years there are very few (color) picture. Later she underwent many changes and was painted black over all. Nevertheless I'm happy to add this boat to my collection.

Thank you. Yes, exactly. Small dots of black, white and buff oil color blended with odourless thinner.
