Guy RumpFinally, I declare this one completed. I have attempted more weathering than usual and the mottling is my design rather than anything specific. I'm afraid the carpet monster ate the small antenna on the rear fuselage (just after the cockpit) In my world it has been shot off... 🙂
Although the decals are for 2/JG7, on 24 November 1944 they were renamed IV/301 JG. I have read elsewhere that 2/JG7 never actually existed except on paper. The group was composed of a staff and 3 fighter Sqns flying the BF109 G. The Gruppe was disbanded on Mar 19 1945.
