Maschinen Krieger Stingray
I haven't decided whether or not I should attach the cockpit, since I don't really want to have to scratchbuild the area around the cockpit tub
Close-up of the 105mm railgun
As you can tell, quite a bit of gray Tamiya Putty was required to smooth out the seams of the kit
The reactors required even more putty than the body of the spacecraft! I'm not looking forward to sanding these guys
And there's one sanded and detailed
Here's the dorsal spine attached to the underside of the rear frame. It's starting to finally look like a spaceship!
Main sub-assemblies(minus the massive railgun) attached
And here's a shot of the railgun (temporarily)attached to the underside
a side view that illustrates the sheer mass of this aircraft's armament
Engine bells and sensor dish are finished
Top view of the ship on its stand
A rear view displaying the engines
Turns out all that filling and sanding wasn't enough, as a coat of Mr. Surfacer Mahogany primer showed that there were still many gaps and seams
After several hours of applying putty and sanding, I'm free from the pain
