This museum piece has been damaged during Hurricane "Ike" in 2008 but was eventually repaired and repainted (an entirely different color) Pictures are pre-damage.
This is not a natural metal finish

Łukasz Gliński Lovely 👍 They were painted grey from some point in time, so I assume you're correct with this one. Didn't know this one made it so far away 😮
Vince Venezuela Wow! Amazing result with a great attention to details! You re very welcome, happy to be of a modest contribution to your excellent build 😄
Alexander Grivonev Had to retake a few pictures because to my own embarassment I attached the main gear doors the wrong way and a nice and observant mate (Thanks Flugi!) pointed it out. What a mess of a build! Thanks @ all again 👍
First of all a huge THANK YOU @Vince Venezuela who provided some replacement decals because I ruined mine!

Some confusion caused the outward appearance of this airplane. Eduard suggests a natural metal finish in their instruction. The photos I found of this machine when it was on display in Galveston in Texas with its original paint show an overall grey coating. At least to my eye. This is confirmed by other pictures of Polish MFs, they are coated with some semi opaque grey. I might be completely wrong on this, so you are welcome to correct me but anyway, here is my take on this particular airplane. Enjoy!
