I always like that part. Very satisfying too see how the decals melt with the panel lines when using decal softener...

looking really good. good call in not using that decal. although the decals are top quality (if they are as good as in the bigger 1/48), it looks great painted. cans looking really good too.

Thank you. And yes, the decal quality is indeed very good. I used the 2 walkway decals on the wings because of the printed "walkway" letters. Will be fun to go on with all the other decals in the next step.

what a beautiful result. wonderful weathering, just spot on in my opinion (reminds me that i need to add a bit of grime to mine...). it can pass as 1/48

Thank you all. I'm happy that you like it. By the way, I noticed 2 mistakes, now that I have made all the final pictures:
1. I forgot to remove 2 small mask triangles at the canopy.
2. I forgot to make the tires a bit flat.
I have corrected that already but I don't feel like doing new photos.😉

Weathering turned out awesome, as did the paintjob. 👍👍 Also like the presentation with the mirroring surface - great work!

Thanks for all your positiv words. So I made one new picture with both mistakes corrected. Must be enough. 😉
I tried the mirroring presentation for the first time and it is easy to do: just put the object on a simple glass screen from a picture frame and choose a flat angle when taking the photos.

Excellent Phantom! Weathering is not too light - not too heavy = just right!

Album info
The Phantom has always been one of my favorite jets. More than 20 years ago I already had it as a Revell Kit and with my sparse know-how at the time, it looked accordingly.
That's why I needed a better quality kit and I wanted to try out newly acquired techniques. Let's see what comes out of it.
