The legs of the pilot figure need to be cut to make sure that he fits with the new cockpit.
I never paint figures so I don't dislike the result. The mold of the figure isn't the best though.
I couldn't fit a control stick with all my modifications.
The leading edge slats, flaps and ailerons don't look good so i decided to make new ones.
making some damage
fitting the new flaps made form styrine sheet.
New leading edge slats.
And finaly the new ailerons.
The nose cone had a complely wrong shape but after alot of sabding I get this result.

More lines added
I decided to place the flaps and leading edge slats in the exstended position to make the model more interesting.
added a costom gunsight
Canopy fitted an masked, I unfortunately cracked the windscreen and used the wring glue. But you can see the result of this mistake in the end
Filling and sanding of the damage was easier then I expected.
Pretty decent for a first try at this. But alot of dust unfortunately entered the cockpit during the procces.
Added panel lines to the repaired area. This wasn't easy at all and I'm not completely happy with the result.
The fit was terible on the underside and i dit some panal lines here also. You can see that a don't do this often sp not all lines are straight. But the kit doesn;t have any lines here to use as example.
panel lines on the nose really ad some detail.
the fit on the air intakes is really bad. and the wings also don't fit the fuselage. So I added some styrene sheet to make the fit better
Finaly completed
Added the centre pylon made from styrine sheet because the kit part was broken.
Brown base layer
Light gray underside
Dark green and dark gray camoflage added to complety the scheme.
Red tip on the tail just because i like it.
Silver and gunmetal used for the jet area.
Red stipe on the underside

Also the smae brown panal line wash.
This is a old airfix stand I have form a westland whirlwind i made. I added some styrine sheet to make the AOA higher
Working as intended
Added the nose cone. This needed some sanding to get the right shape.
Nose is painted in gunship grey
I painted the stand matt black and highlighted the details in silver. Also made a name plate to add a decal with the aircraft name later.
Decals is added.
The plane tha a layer of saturn varnish.
Added some oil paint to the schme to fade some penal.
I made the undersite dirty.
I used these spare parts to add some detials
Adding the weapons and antennas
I chipped the paint to make the plane faded. i used deck tan and silver for this.
The canopy isn't very nice unfortunately. this is something to impove on.
Rui Great job on the control surfaces! 🙂
I have an practice kit in progress based on an old Lindberg Do 335. The kits was missing landing gear and doors so I figured I was use the kit to practice new techniques. Things were going well but I had not test fitted the canopy and discovered it didn't fit so I had to do some repairs that got sanding use in the cockpit too. I managed to blow some out through the bottom but there is still a bit of sanding dust on the canopy.

Album info
This kit was bought by my mom for 0,5 euro's and she really thought she found something special. So I made it special and use this to try some things i never did before. I made a lot of mistakes but i also leared alot and i really like the result. But i still don't know why I did this to myself.
I was inspired by some other builder on reddit how was also building this kit. The scheme of this plane is based on a aggersor squadron and I used some spare decals to make it.
Mistakes:
Alot went wrong with the canopy. the glue reacted with the platic and I cracked the windshield during fitting and sanding. Also alot of sanding dust enterd the cockpit during the repairs of the fuselage. So my costom cockpit is almost not visible.
Also many panel lines aren't perfect. this was my first try on this scale and i became alot better when I was finished.
Modifications:
- New exstended flaps- New exstended leading edge slats- New ailerons- Old airfix display stand- Costom cockpit from syrine sheet- Added gun sight- Added spare weapons- Added spare droptank- Added spare antennas- Recribed all pannel lines- Added more pannel lines- Added centre pylon form syrine sheet
