Assembled interior glued to the middle of the fuselage. The parts fit exactly. A part of the kit is also a lead weight shaped so that it fits exactly into the bow of the fuselage.
The hull fits very precisely and it is not necessary to use putty after gluing.
One of the few flaws of this set is the too thick rear edges of the wing. This can be easily remedied by grinding them.
The connection between the wing and the fuselage is good, but I could not do without a small amount of putty.
The kit also includes masks for spraying the cab cover and some other parts. Because I have had this kit at home for a long time, some parts of the mask no longer stuck well and he had to replace them with masking tape.
After gluing the cockpit cover and sanding the sealant in the joints of the wing with the fuselage, I temporarily glued the cabin door and thus had the model ready to spray the surfacer.
After spraying the surfacer and its light regrinding, I shaded the edges of the panels and covers with a very thin black color.

Ludvík KružíkThe construction of the model continues. When I glued the decals, I found that the insignia on the top of the wings have a thin white border in about one third of the circumference.The white border was not visible before the decals were applied.

Alec KVery nicely done! That weight for the nose is a great idea. Regarding decals: I started to cut off the clear around them before application. Besides looking better on the finished model, it also generally reveals any registration problems.

I have already fixed the error of decals on the upper surfaces of the wings. Using a cutting compasses, I made a mask and repaired the white parts of the decal by spraying blue paint.
Airacobra is already finished 🙂. As soon as I have time, I'll take photos and put them in the album.
