That's the AMT kit body in the foreground and the Resin body in back. This was the progress before the body really started to get to me!
As you can see I was already sanding at some imperfections.
After a few sandings and attempts at fillings I got this far...foiled and test run on the decals. But I could still see some areas that I just couldn't bring myself to live with.
So into the bath it went and back to square 1
The 1:1 cars had split bench seats so I cast my own from resin using a clay mold of the back seat then sculpting the rest
There were a few little bubble and flaws but they are mostly hidden with the black paint and once inside the car will be tough to see.
Also converted it to a column shift from the console it came with and scratch built the radio from assorted spare parts.

Replica of a 2 door sedan or post car as in reference photo. That actual car is a 67 if I'm not mistaken but the person asking for this was okay with the correct era so settled on the 65 as it was the most attainable in plastic. The sedan body took a little searching (before I knew about scalemates!) but did locate it from a resin caster.
