Nice work. May I ask how the scratch (or fading, chipping) is made around rivets over the AN/M2 maint panel? Looks pretty realistic.

Thanks guys. Max, fading is mostly airbrush and some dry pastel, stains and washes are oils and scratches are water-based pencils.

Ευχαριστώ Γιάννη. Υποτίθεται το συγκεκριμένο α/φος ήταν πολύ ξεθωριασμένο και η Special Hobby δίνει τα decals αυτά έτσι. Στις φωτογραφίες μου, επειδή έχω πειράξει λίγο τη φωτεινότητα και την αντίθεση, φαίνονται αρκετά έντονα απ' ότι πραγματικά είναι. Παρόλα αυτά, αν το ξαναέφτιαχνα μάλλον θα έβαζα τα κανονικά αστέρια που επίσης δίνει, και θα τα ξεθώριαζα εγώ.

A few notes on the kit. The front half of the canopy comes in one part; if you want to display it open you need to perform surgery. Also, the canopy framing looks different than photos and the painting instructions. There are some very thin frames that are not molded. I made those using very thin strips of silver tape. Otherwise, it is a very complete kit, that with sufficient test fitting (esp. on the cockpit) will build up fine.
