I found and bought the 1/32 Hasegawa K-4 kit at a recent model show and decided to jump right in. I found an interesting camo scheme and plan to add a bunch of aftermarket goodies including:
Aires cockpit
Barracuda wheels
Quickboost prop
Quickboost exhaust stacks
HGW seat belts
EagleCals #75 decals
I'll use Mr. Color lacquers as usual and just finished the office. Thanks for looking.

I decided I couldn't live with the zero-detail, cheesy landing gear bays offered in the kit. I removed the sidewalls, drilled holes in the strut wells and adapted the gear bay detail from a Revell G-6 kit I had in the stash. I removed the material accommodate the larger wheels within the increased volume of the blisters on the wings. After painting, I think the landing gear bays look much more convincing.

Bf 109K-4 Black 8 is now complete. I ended up using all the goodies as planned except the Quickboost prop. The spinner was actually out of round and unusable. I used the kit spinner and prop blades, which look decent. Enjoy the photos. Comments and critique are always welcome. Thanks for looking.

Another beautiful 109 for your collection Jim. Fantastic work on the landing gear bays, great craftmanship. 👍
