Airbus A380 Emirates (no paintjob - green primer)
That’s how it should look like.
I decided to start with the engines. Revell provided two kind of fans. Emirates uses Rolce Royce Trend engines.
It’s a good idea to make the anti-ice rings of the engines as separate parts. It’s easier to paint. Unfortunately they are too wide.
Due to vacation, I was not able to work on the Airbus.
But now, I built the Nose Landing Gear and the Body Landing Gear as they are needed to be glued inside the fuselage.

Engine intakes are ready too. The anti ice rings are correct size now. Need to be masked for painting of the nacelles.
Only small progress on the Airbus. Made tons of wheels for the landing gear. I think Revell uses the same tires for all aircrafts in this scale. They look exactly like on the Boeings.
Worked on the wings. The landing lights are wrong. They need to be closed with putty.
The wings of the kit are awful. Twisted and bended. The wing tips are pointing down. Terrible. It took me some time and hot water to bend the wings to the correct shape of a landed A380. It’s really fascinating to see an A380 landing. When touch downed, the wings bend downwards for about 2 or 3 meters.
Test fit and checking the wing shape.

I need to pause the Airbus for a while. The vertical stabilizer is so much bended, I can’t get it correct.
After gluing, there is a big dent in the fin. This is awful.
I will buy a new kit and replace the aft section of this model.
This album will be continued when I’m ready.
